(end) the last few weeks
Now I'm already a month go, and I would say that I have already settled in well. Real homesickness has not occurred to me (that is, not now that I do not to you think), but to a much patter on too many new experiences myself. The small town of Esteli to me already grown fond of and I'm really curious how it will be in Puerto.
The last 2, 3 weeks ago I still had the week language course in the afternoon I had to do what ever. Be it a report on the hurricane or undertake the planning for the weekend in attack. 3 weeks ago I was in the nature reserve Tisey, very close to Esteli. From the mountain had a wonderful view of the environment, ie, pure mountains, volcanoes, nature. We also have a cheese factory there and a crazy old man attended the skin since the age of 31 pictures in the stone. The following day we went to the famous waterfall went there, where we met 2 nice Nicas, with which we are expected in the evening times. Was pretty funny!
The following weekend we were in the other Naturresevat, Miraflores, where we stayed with a German-Polish couple. The 2 days were super nice there, with hikes in the mountains, nice conversations, but we have learned a lot about the culture and the history of Nicaragua and the cultivation of coffee.
Last week we took time remained in Esteli. We have only a short detour to Condega, a small town further north made, because there Moritz wanted to buy a guitar. This will be there still made by hand and are the very best of Nicaragua.
Granada is a very beautiful city with many houses from the colonial period, but also very touristy. So many cheles in a pile I have not seen the last few weeks together. Otherwise, it's really hot here in contrast to Esteli. Since it is very pleasant, hammocks and a pool in the hostel to have a real luxury that we are no longer used to.
Yesterday we have yet to meet a few other German volunteers, we already knew from Nicanetz seminar in Germany. Was nice to have replaced us and a lot of phone numbers (other volunteers) are exchanged. Soon we'll take the bus to Masaya and hope to find there on the market a guitar.
Next week Thursday we will be the language course terminate in Esteli, go to Managua and from there to the Atlantic coast, where we will begin our work. Speaking of work: I have already given trumpet lessons. All that is told here will be passed on immediately, so that I can also play trumpet. A friend of my host brother came over me, with trumpet. He could even play some extent, only the handles of the sounds he did not know, I have explained in the then and still taught all my ducks ;-).
So, that's me, I'll get back
Eswanni
(my new name here, just can not pronounce the Swanny Nicas, and Swantje certainly not :-))

the Panamericana
The road simply, I've always thought, but it reaches from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. And now I live only a parallel street away from her, can just walk over it, as some horses, and cows that have lost their way. Added to this is now in the rainy season
much alluvial mud.

Roller Blades Ultra U Wheels
I'm fine!
you might have noticed determined that the Hurricane Felix in Puerto Cabezas has been raging pretty bad. It was then destroyed much covered houses and at the moment is the supply of drinking water pretty bad. Esteli has not made it, here it has only rained pretty heavily. It is certainly good, some are already being asked.
Yesterday I spoke with Exdel, the volunteer officer of Iglesia Morava, and he said we can get. Right now begin the people there, the city and rebuild their houses. After the course but we will initially remain in Managua for several days to get to know the local community. Until then, the situation in Puerto has hopefully calmed down a bit. Otherwise, I'll
then see how it goes. A helping hand is needed in any case always.
Kind regards
Swanny
